What Beauty Awaits / What Fresh Hell is This? Understanding Motivational Styles during Times of Big Changes

This session will examine the impact of differing motivational styles on client engagement and decision-making. 4:00pm - 5:00pm EST - Josh Patrick & Susan Bradley

The Long Strange Trip - Six investigations that can change your life. Susan Bradley and Josh Patrick explore how we navigate six interconnected life challenges that most people are completely unprepared for - integrating work and family without the destructive 95/5 split, reconstructing identity beyond that business card during retirement, and facing mortality without PTSD.

They examine how building genuine resilience through adaptation rather than rigid toughness, sharing accumulated wisdom in ways that actually get heard in a youth-obsessed culture, and understanding the four stages of transition all require the same fundamental shift: accepting reality as it actually exists instead of fighting what should be different.

Susan and Josh will be speaking as fellow seekers rather than experts, acknowledging that navigating these transitions involves more questions that answers, but that understanding the patterns and doing the work creates clarity, meaning, and the possibility of moving through life's biggest changes with grace instead of panic.

March 24, 2026

1:00pm - 2:00pm EST - Dr. Ivana Polonijo

When major life changes overlap, relationship dynamics shape every decision, even when the relationship itself is changing or ending. This session explores how advisors can guide clients through loss, role shifts, and divorce while staying grounded, clear and effective. You will learn to recognize relational patterns under stress, reduce reactivity, and support conversations that move from opposition toward alignment around what matters most.

The focus is not on preserving relationships, but on helping clients stay on the same team with the process of change, even as paths diverge.

2:00pm - 3:45pm EST - Case Two with Michael Karwic & Chris Hill
